Job Description

Position Purpose
Oversee all aspects of health and life management product and service delivery and content. Direct the quality management and improvement function.

Knowledge/Experience
Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy, board certified required in a primary care specialty (Internal Medicine, Family Practice, OB/GYN, Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine) or Psychiatry. Previous experience as Chief Medical Officer or Medical Director of disease management or health and wellness services provider preferred. Experience treating or managing care for a culturally diverse population preferred with predictive modeling technique and treating or managing.

Position Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical quality and health-related content in health coaching services and materials.
  • Oversee the integration of life management and motivational techniques into health coaching services and materials.
  • Oversee the Clinical Informatics Department related to methodologies for candidate identification, assignment, clinical, motivational and life barrier assessment and predictive modeling.
  • Lead the Quality Management Department.
  • Develop and implement physician education with respect to clinical issues and company policies.
  • Oversee alliances with the provider community and provider associations through the development and implementation of methods and approaches to integrate company health and life management services with treating physicians.
  • Represent the company at the industry trade shows, and other ad hoc committees or associations as appropriate.
  • Assist health plan network development and contracting department in the evaluation of provider performance related to chronic conditions.
  • Evaluate trends in utilization and quality of health and wellness services for internal management improvement and external publications.
  • Conduct clinical quality improvement studies.
     

License/Certificates

Board Certification through American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Current state medical license without restrictions.
