Job Description
Under the leadership of the Senior Vice President, Health Services Operations is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and management of the Integrated Behavioral Health program. Monitors and implements appropriate interventions to assure achieving cost effective and quality outcomes for membership served within approved Behavioral Health Care Budget. Collaborates with the Sr. Medical Director and Vice President (or clinical leadership), in each of the health plan's markets to assure the effectiveness and achievement of targeted clinical outcomes of the Integrated Behavioral Health Care Program.

Required Skills
Develops and maintains department budget. Seeks opportunities to contain cost and increase profitability. Assists in the establishment and achievement of business objectives for the Integrated Behavioral health care unit based upon company's overall strategic plan and operating goals for this year. In cooperation with the markets evaluates impact of Integrated Behavioral healthcare initiatives on overall market financial performance.  Develops specific and measurable performance standards for all direct reports. Holds self and others accountable to goals and standards of department and company.  Guides and encourages career development, conducts timely performance evaluations and provides open/ongoing constructive feedback to all direct reports. Leads by example. Sets an example of personal performance, which encourages excellence and integrity. Is thoroughly prepared prior to beginning any negotiation or conflict resolution process.  Assesses department work quality and develops/implements process improvements to improve and achieve regulatory and oversight compliance. Analyzes data and makes sound, logical and timely decisions.  Establishes priorities and sets long and short term goals

Required Experience

Education & Training:  RN license, Bachelors or Masters degree preferred OR Masters Degree or PhD and clinical licensure including Social Work or Psychology. OR any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Experience:  Minimum of ten years clinical experience including clinical experience in the mental health arena with at least five years in managed care and 5 years of progressive management experience. Minimum 2 years experience as a behavioral health care manager preferred. Valid drivers license. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
